FilmBook has created a platform where scouts can list their "little black book" and earn a 3% commission every time the property is featured for an on-location shoot or virtual application, even if they are not the production scout. They can earn 10% if they act as the Owner's Representative for the entire project. Here's how it works:
1.Scouts contact FilmBook at contact@filmbook.media to receive the Exclusive Listing Agreement.
2.Scouts list the property on the platform and upload the signed Agreement stating the Scout is the Owner's Representative in their Profile under Document Verification.
3..When the property is selected, Scouts choose to remain as the point of contract for productions to message on the platform or turn the property over to FilmBook to handle all aspects of the booking.
4.FilmBook's team executes the contract and collects the insurance information.
5.Within two weeks of the wrap date, the Scout will receive 3% of the total property compensation specified on the Location Agreement, expenses like per diem and lodging are not included since those fees are compensation for the owner. If the Scout was the primary point of contract and handled all aspects of the booking and site representation, then they will receive 10%.
